| DETAILS: The Zaishu stool is not only an artwork within itself, but a chair and coffee table too! This stool features the black Koi (carp) pattern symbolizing love and friendship. Other panels feature dark pink turtles and silver flowers and fans. Made from native Australian Hoop Pine Plywood, these iconic stools are exceptionally strong. They can take the weight of a person up to 150kg, and hot drinks can be placed safely on the surface! Unique Slot together design – minimum assembly required.
DESIGN: Designed by Matthew Butler and Helen Punton of Zaishu Studio. Designs are handprinted in Zaishu’s coastal studio and recognized as triumphs of Australian design for being both artistic and functional. Zaishu believe sustainable furnture design is achieved by reducing the amount of materials and production processess, obtaining ecologically sourced timber from renewable forests, advanced laser cutting technology, using water based inks/varnish, and a flat pack design allowing for efficient delivery. Zaishu's stools have been exhibited in numerous international galleries as well as Sydney's Powerhouse Mueum which hold several in theor permanent collection.
MATERIALS: Native Australian Hoop Pine – eco sustainable. Zaishu stools are finished with two coats of waterbased furniture grade varnish. Zaishu slot-together seat/tables have been independently certified by GECA as a Good Environmental Choice product and gives the maximum allowance of points towards a 6 green star rated interior by the Green Building Council of Australia.
