Who doesn’t like to lie back and relax in a lovely warm bath? Today I have a bath to share with you that boasts impressive credentials. Whilst you may think a bath is a bath – sit up and listen to the materials that have gone into the Cedar Freestanding bath by architectural bathware firm Formed. On first look it looks like a smart and stylish new timber bath suite. But delving further into the materials used reveals sustainable design is at is core. Reclaimed cedar frames have been perfectly handcrafted to sit around a re-used Australian made press steel bath.
Formed designer, Stephen Royce drew on both Japanese and Scandanavian design, to create this stunning design. To top it off, this recycled timber bath is hand made right here in Melbourne, and appealing to the outdoors types, it is suitable for outdoor use too! Can you see yourself soaking it up underneath the stars? Divine. This bath can be designed in new plantation timber and with a new bath – but why would you? I think it is perfect as it is!
